Position: Etching Technician
Location: Orlando, FL 32819 (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time – Contract – Temp to Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Must be flexible with start times and occasional production needs including Mandatory Saturdays)
Job Summary
We are seeking multiple detail-oriented entry level Etching Technicians to support daily production in a fast-paced technology and manufacturing environment. These roles will play a critical part in precision etching processes that support fabrication, quality control, and downstream assembly operations. Etching Technicians help ensure materials and components meet strict specifications and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented, with the ability to adapt to changing production demands. Minimal experience is required, and this role is well suited for candidates seeking to break into the IT or computer technology space.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor etching machines and systems to perform precision etching processes
Prepare, clean, and set up materials for etching according to specifications
Adjust machine settings and process parameters to ensure consistent quality and production yields
Follow documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for all etching tasks
Perform basic inspections and quality checks on processed components to verify adherence to dimensional and surface standards
Maintain accurate process records, logs, and documentation for production and quality control
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with related production tasks and cross-training opportunities as needed
Participate in routine equipment maintenance and preventive care as required
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous experience in etching, manufacturing, processing, or similar technical role preferred
Strong attention to detail with excellent observational skills
Comfort working in a production-driven environment with adherence to strict quality and safety standards
Ability to follow detailed instructions, SOPs, and documented procedures
Basic math and measurement skills to perform quality checks and record results
Comfortable standing and performing hands-on tasks throughout the workday
Willingness to work with chemical processes and adhere to handling protocols
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team
