Seeking a Travel and Cruise Specialist for a luxury cruise line in the Downtown Miami, FL area who will provide reports and manifests to hotels, ground operators, shipboard staff and others on a timely basis. This includes, but is not limited to, thoroughly reviewing manifests and other reports for errors & omissions and taking appropriate corrective action, as well as sending reports and manifests per the established schedule.

In addition, this position will be responsible for the timely dispatch of supplies to ground operators, and all tracking and follow-up related to Guest Relations issues for transfers.

 

Some responsibilities include: 

  • Create and deliver manifests and reports to accurately communicate guest information to ground operators, hotels, airlines and shipboard personnel

  • Conduct periodic hotel inventory and air blocked space reviews and provide guest count to ground operators / hotels / airlines. Proactively adjust inventory to ensure guest satisfaction and minimize financial risk.

  • Properly document any feedback regarding our vendors’ services to ensure satisfactory resolution of customer service issues and improve future programs offerings. Take immediate appropriate steps when notified of service issues experienced by guests during travel.

  • Maintain documentation and files by voyage to department standards in support of the team.

  • Provide prompt, courteous and professional responses to all email, fax, and phone requests. Monitor daily reports

    for incoming work and handle within agreed time frames. Update all appropriate systems.

  • Manage your personal work flow in an efficient manner to enable responses to all incoming requests within agreed

    time frames.

  • Maintain an expert familiarity with all details of hotel, land and transfer programs to provide complete and

    accurate answers to questions from Reservations, Sales and other departments regarding programs.

  • Attach copies of air, hotel, land and transfer documents in appropriate documentation system.

  • Confirm and issue airline tickets according to airline and cruise line policies and procedures.

  • Ensure accurate pricing for air, hotel, program and transfer items, collecting additional fees when required.

  • Communicate schedule changes to air and land itineraries promptly and courteously to guests, internal resources

    and partners.

  • Other duties as instructed by Management.

  • Ability to work morning, early evening and weekend shifts as needed.

  • Minimum 2 years of Travel/Hospitality or Cruise industry experience

  • Undergraduate Studies / Degree in the field of Travel / Hospitality Management

    or equivalent work experience

  • Airline GDS booking and ticketing; preferably Amadeus

  • Working knowledge of Word & Excel; ability to prepare / edit spreadsheets and maintain databases

  • Well organized and detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Superior customer service skills.

  • High degree of accuracy when working with details under time pressure.

  • The ability to work independently in support of team goals and objectives

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully resolve challenging customer situations both on the phone and in writing.

  • Excellent knowledge of world geography

  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and input data into computer
