We are representing a client that is seeking a Senior-level Tax Professional with Exempt Organization and Estate and Trust Taxation experience to join their dynamic team in Miami. Their team of professionals provides planning and tax compliance services to help their clients optimize and protect assets while responding to complex opportunities and challenges.
What you will be doing:
- Review of Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax
- Review of Form 990-PF, Return of Private Foundation
- Review and assistance with preparation of Form 1023, Application for Recognition of Exempt Under Section 501(c )(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Review of Forms 1041, U.S. Income Tax Return for Estate and Trusts
- Review of Forms 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return
- Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
- Develop and maintain accountability for engagement budgets and staff utilization; meet expectations in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
- Perform research projects relevant to the practice
- Build collaborative relationships that foster a team environment
- Develop knowledge of all firm services, vision, business strategies, and processes to build and enhance client relationships
- Engage in ongoing personal development in line with the growth and development strategy
What Skills You’ll Bring:
- 3 years of related tax experience, within a public accounting firm
- MS in Taxation, a plus
- CPA eligible
- Experience providing tax compliance review and/or advisory services to tax-exempt organizations (990, 990PF)
- Strong team player and a commitment to high-quality, detailed work
- Self-starter with ability to deal with multiple priorities
- Ability to deal with clients, professional demeanor
