Position Title: Staff Accountant
Salary: $65,000 annually

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive reports, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Staff Accountant will work closely with various accounting functions, including Treasury, Tax, Cost Accounting, and Accounts Payable, to address and resolve accounting issues. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and record accurate journal entries by analyzing account information and maintaining proper documentation.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, providing data-driven insights to enhance financial processes.
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data, including preparing accruals when necessary.
Reconcile and review monthly balance sheets, verifying transactions, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining proper records.
Perform reconciliations and analysis of intercompany transactions.
Support month-end closing and reporting processes to meet critical deadlines.
Assist in preparing schedules, documentation, and explanations required for external audits.
Collaborate on special projects and provide ad hoc reporting as assigned by the Senior Manager, Accounting & Reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year institution is required.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in general accounting.
Proficiency in an ERP system, preferably SAP S/4HANA. Prior experience with ERP implementation is a plus.
Familiarity with SAP Concur for expense management is preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to apply these principles effectively.
Experience with foreign currency translations is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
