We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful execution of global telecommunications, IT, and hosting projects. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on project execution skills to ensure service implementation meets client and business objectives.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex technical projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all contractual and service commitments are fulfilled. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of global telecommunications, IT, and hosting projects, ensuring adherence to technical design, budgets, schedules, and customer contracts.
- Act as the primary project owner, overseeing risk management, stakeholder communication, and project execution.
- Ensure projects follow PMO standards and industry best practices, aligning with corporate strategy.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and customer-facing reports.
- Manage relationships with local service providers, third-party vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Oversee project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and budget management.
- Coordinate and collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure efficient project execution across multiple geographies.
- Serve as an escalation point for project-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and risk mitigation.
- Support the transition of completed projects to operations and service management teams, ensuring a smooth handover and ongoing service quality.
- Mentor and guide Junior Project Managers, providing leadership and best practices in project management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in project management within telecommunications (required).
- Strong knowledge of telecom networks, IT infrastructure, and service delivery (e.g., MPLS, SD-WAN, Cloud Services, Hosting, M2M solutions).
- Experience leading global, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions independently.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage directly with customers and senior leadership.
- Strong financial acumen (e.g., P&L, budgeting, EBITDA analysis).
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Waterfall).
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus.
- PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
