A well-established CPA firm located in West Palm Beach, FL, is seeking a Client Manager to join its growing team. With 25 dedicated professionals organized into three specialized teams, the firm values client relationships, accuracy, and continuity in the services provided. This role is a Manager in Training position designed to transition into long-term leadership, with a partnership track available to CPA-credentialed individuals based on performance.
Role Overview:
The Client Manager will act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing comprehensive financial services that include:

✅ Tax Planning
✅ Tax Preparation
This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage client relationships, and the capacity to oversee day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 75-125 client accounts, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee and support a team of bookkeepers and accountants, providing mentorship and leadership.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reconcile accounts, and handle payroll and sales tax filings.
- Coordinate tax planning and preparation efforts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing financial inquiries and offering tailored solutions.
- Ensure smooth client transitions with a focus on building long-term relationships.
- Participate in the firm’s comprehensive manager training program to enhance leadership and technical skills.
Requirements:
✅ 2+ years of experience managing a team of bookkeepers and handling client portfolios.
✅ Prior experience working in a CPA firm is preferred.
✅ Solid understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, reconciliations).
✅ Ability to handle 98% of tax-related client work with a willingness to be trained on tax preparation/planning.
✅ Degree in Accounting or equivalent hands-on experience.
✅ Strong interpersonal and communication skills (50% client interaction).
✅ Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
✅ Ability to work extended hours during tax season (250+ overtime hours between January and April).
