A rapidly growing, healthcare-focused MEP firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems for complex healthcare facilities. This position will serve as the top Mechanical Engineer within the organization — leading the discipline, mentoring designers, and setting technical and operational standards for future growth.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for healthcare facilities.
Develop detailed technical deliverables, including construction drawings, specifications, and submittals.
Oversee project execution — from schematic design through construction administration and closeout.
Coordinate with clients, architects, and consultants to ensure design excellence and regulatory compliance.
Interface with AHCA and other agencies to manage permitting processes and approvals.
Conduct field observations, review shop drawings, and manage contractor communications.
Provide mentorship to a growing team of 8–10 designers and engineers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required.
Minimum 6 years of mechanical engineering experience, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities (e.g., ambulatory centers, imaging suites, surgical centers).
Revit proficiency and ability to develop internal BIM standards.
Experience leading teams and managing multiple active projects simultaneously.
Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications
AHCA experience highly preferred.
Proven success modernizing design workflows and technical standards.
