Position Summary:
The Sales Support Specialist is a critical, customer-centric role focused on providing top-notch support to clients, distributors, and internal teams. You’ll be responsible for coordinating order processing, managing the sales sample process, and facilitating effective communication across various departments. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, distributors, and internal stakeholders, responding to inquiries promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, and logistics teams to streamline operations.
- Keep clients informed with accurate product information, order updates, and service details.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.
- Work with production and logistics teams to track orders, proactively communicating delays and providing solutions as needed.
- Oversee inventory allocation and customer forecasts to meet order requirements, coordinating with inventory control to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Address customer concerns related to product quality, shipping, and order discrepancies, ensuring each issue is resolved promptly.
- Maintain organized and detailed customer records, order histories, and communication logs using EDI systems.
- Generate reports to monitor trends and suggest areas for improvement.
- Work with global 3PL partners to ensure smooth communication and alignment on inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics.
- Handle sample processing, tracking, and quality assurance, collaborating with operations for ETA updates.
Communicate sample priorities and maintain organized logs, working cross-functionally to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service, ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environment. Familiarity with EDI systems is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of CRM software, Microsoft Office, and inventory management tools.
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
