About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Security Analyst to assist in the implementation and support of security platforms. This role will focus on maintaining the optimal performance of hardware and software while ensuring the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of protected assets. The Security Analyst will serve as the first point of contact for the Security Operation Center and will respond to incidents, changes, and security issues.

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Security Analyst to assist in the implementation and support of security platforms. This role will focus on maintaining the optimal performance of hardware and software while ensuring the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of protected assets. The Security Analyst will serve as the first point of contact for the Security Operation Center and will respond to incidents, changes, and security issues.
Responsibilities:
- Manage security platforms, ensuring high availability and adherence to service levels.
- Utilize monitoring tools to maintain contracted service levels and execute maintenance plans.
- Perform daily reviews of executed backups and security platform checklists.
- Generate tasks for automating preventive and monitoring processes.
- Address incidents and change controls received through Remedy.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Communicate project status, problems, and issues to the department supervisor.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule software and hardware changes.
- Escalate issues to Level 2 Security Engineers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Detect and escalate supervision alerts.
- Attend departmental meetings and represent current status as appropriate.
- Analyze system performance and capacities, preparing plans for future expansion and upgrades.
- Participate in company-provided training and perform independent training as needed.
- Resolve incident management tickets and provide technical support for projects.
- Install system patches and application updates as directed.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Provide technical and operational support in designated technology areas.
- Perform selected product research as directed.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation for after-hours support.
- Perform other duties related to the security role as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing security technologies, specifically Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto.
- Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in a technical department, providing technical support with frequent interaction with users or customers.
- Knowledge of local area networking concepts and principles.
- Basic Linux/Unix OS and Windows knowledge.
- Cisco CCNA and Meraki Solutions Specialist Certification (ECMS) are required.
- Any other security vendor certification is a plus.
