Property Accountant
Location: Downtown Miami, FL (On-site, Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM)

A leading commercial real estate and development firm is seeking a property accountant to manage financial reporting and accounting functions for a portfolio of commercial and retail properties in Downtown Miami. This role involves handling financial statements, budgeting, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience in property accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciliations, assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, preparing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls, assisting with audits and tax-related documentation, and collaborating with property managers and leadership on financial reporting needs.
Qualifications required for this role include at least three years of experience in property accounting, preferably within commercial real estate, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, or QuickBooks, strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting, experience handling reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis, and excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
