Position Overview
The Procurement Manager will oversee purchasing, supplier management, and contract negotiations for materials, equipment, and services used in solar and renewable-energy construction projects. This role requires strong knowledge of supply chains, engineering coordination, and project-based procurement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage procurement strategies for construction and engineering materials used in solar and renewable-energy projects.
Source, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with vendors, manufacturers, and service providers.
Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules to support project deadlines and budgets.
Monitor supply chain trends, lead times, and risks affecting construction and renewable-energy materials.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and finance teams to ensure alignment with project specifications.
Track supplier performance and implement cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with procurement standards, regulations, and sustainability goals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or engineering.
Experience supporting solar or renewable energy projects is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction materials, electrical components, and renewable-energy equipment (solar panels, inverters, racking, batteries, etc.).
Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing multiple suppliers.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
