Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

What You’ll Do:


As a Payroll Tax Analyst, you'll play a key role in handling payroll tax functions, ensuring compliance, and optimizing payroll operations. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in payroll processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Process weekly payroll, including manual payroll calculations and check processing.
  • Audit payroll transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Analyze and report on payroll, benefits, and personnel data.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll tax processing, staying up to date on federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Assist in training staff and providing ongoing payroll support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with tuition reimbursement practices and internal policies.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for payroll data analysis.
  • Support payroll-related system implementations and enhancements.


What We’re Looking For:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years working with centralized automated payroll systems or related financial accounting.
  • Preferred Systems Experience: Kronos Time-Keeping, Lawson Infor System, and Global Human Resources/Payroll.
  • Certifications: American Payroll Association (APA) certification is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables); SQL knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
