Responsibilities
- Teach middle school English Language Arts curriculum aligned with Florida standards.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that strengthen reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents, students, and school administration.
- Collaborate with faculty to support student achievement and school initiatives.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and campus activities.
Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in English Language Arts with Reading Endorsement or Teaching Certification in Reading with Endorsement in ELA is required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous middle school teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for literacy development and student-centered instruction.
