They pride themselves on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment, ensuring their team members have the resources and flexibility they need to thrive. Job Title: Litigation ParalegalWork Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)Location: Miami, FL (Wynwood area) with flexible travel to the Fort Lauderdale office when needed POSITION SUMMARYThey are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of strong construction commercial litigation experience, with a proven track record of handling cases that go to trial. This role also includes legal assistant responsibilities, providing comprehensive support to our attorneys. The candidate must have a paralegal certification and demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLitigation Support:
  1. Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including trial preparation, discovery, and document management.
  2. Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests.
  3. Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for case preparation.
  4. Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  5. Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
  6. Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks.
Legal Assistant Duties:
  1. Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence.
  2. Assist with client communications and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
  3. Prepare and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
  4. Perform general office tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.
Hybrid and Travel Requirements:
  1. Work on a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the Miami office and 2 days remote.
  2. Be flexible to travel to the Fort Lauderdale office as needed for meetings, trials, or other essential tasks.
 QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Paralegal certification is required.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction commercial litigation with significant trial experience.
  3. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal practice management software.
