About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Litigation Associate with 5–7 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney with a passion for litigation and construction law to work in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment located in Miami's vibrant Wynwood neighborhood.
The ideal candidate will have courtroom and deposition experience, strong legal research and writing skills, and a proactive, self-starting attitude. Experience with Florida Statute Chapter 558 and construction defect claims is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Handle all phases of litigation, from case assessment and strategy development to discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
Analyze construction contracts and defect claims, including under Chapter 558 of the Florida Statutes.
Participate in and conduct depositions, court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
Provide bilingual support in Spanish, when applicable.
Collaborate closely with other attorneys and staff to achieve successful client outcomes.
Stay current with updates in construction law, litigation procedures, and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
5–7 years of litigation experience, with significant courtroom and deposition exposure.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and in good standing.
Strong understanding of Florida Statute Chapter 558 procedures for construction defect claims.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
