Litigation Legal Assistant

We’re seeking a highly skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to join a dynamic and fast-paced law firm, where you’ll play a critical role in supporting top-tier attorneys and delivering exceptional service to high-profile clients. Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive legal administrative support to attorneys, including drafting and proofreading correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- File pleadings in both Federal and State courts, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and court requirements.
- Effectively manage case files, both electronic and paper, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Schedule court hearings, client meetings, and appointments in coordination with attorneys, while calculating and managing legal deadlines.
- Track attorney and client expenses, assist with billing processes, and manage reimbursements using firm software.
- Collaborate with firm-wide departments, including billing, training, records, and more, to ensure smooth case handling and administrative efficiency.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, telephone calls, and email correspondence in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist with attorney business development efforts, including planning and organizing special events.
- Deliver exceptional client service by maintaining a high standard of work quality and professionalism in all interactions with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of law firm experience as a Litigation Paralegal, with Federal and State court experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, filing systems, and administrative processes.
- Effective oral and written communication skills for drafting, proofreading, and interacting with various stakeholders.
- Experience working with multiple attorneys and managing priorities across a wide range of cases and administrative duties.
Physical Requirements: - Regular use of a computer for typing and legal document preparation.
- The ability to talk, hear, and use close and distance vision, with occasional adjustments for focus.
- Attendance in the office is required to perform essential duties.
