Job Summary
We’re seeking a Warehouse Shipping Lead to oversee daily shipping activities, ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, and maintain a safe, organized work area. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong computer skills, experience operating a forklift or pallet jack, and a track record of using systems like UPS WorldShip and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Daily Shipments: Plan, schedule, and monitor shipment orders to ensure on-time departures and arrivals.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate a forklift or pallet jack to move, load, and unload product.
- Inventory Control: Track and manage inventory through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Shipping Technology: Utilize UPS WorldShip to process and label outbound packages.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and guide warehouse associates, promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to verify product accuracy, labeling, and packing standards.
- Workplace Safety: Follow and enforce safety procedures, maintaining a clean and hazard-free workspace.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least one year of warehouse experience, including forklift/pallet jack operation.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable with computer-based shipping programs and proficient in UPS WorldShip; experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 45 pounds on a regular basis.
- Communication & Leadership: Strong verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Attention to Detail: Able to follow detailed processes and maintain accurate records.
