A growing and well-established HVAC distribution company is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join its team. This office-based role is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys the technical side of the industry and wants to leverage their expertise in a support-focused environment.
This is not a field technician role and not a sales position. Instead, you'll serve as a trusted technical resource, helping contractors and technicians diagnose equipment issues and determine the best path forward.
What You'll Be Doing
Technical Troubleshooting
- Provide HVAC troubleshooting support via phone and ticketing systems
- Assist contractors and technicians with residential and light commercial equipment diagnostics
- Analyze system performance, wiring diagrams, and refrigeration circuits
- Interpret voltage, amperage, pressure readings, and operational data
- Identify whether issues are related to installation, operation, or component failure
- Provide accurate and timely technical guidance
Documentation & Case Management
- Document diagnostic findings and technical recommendations
- Maintain organized and detailed case records
- Ensure claims and warranty cases meet internal technical standards
- Track cases through resolution while maintaining a high level of customer support
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of HVAC technical experience
- Strong knowledge of split systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration principles
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
- Solid troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Experience supporting HVAC contractors, distributors, or technical customers is highly valued
