Position Title: Datacenter Electrical Technician - Level 1
Location: Miami, FL
Pay Rate:$25/HR
Job Summary
The Electrician Technician Level 1 supports the safe and reliable operation of mission‑critical datacenter infrastructure. This role assists with electrical systems, critical power distribution, and basic mechanical and fire life safety systems to ensure continuous, compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems
- Support critical power systems including switchgear, generators, UPS, ATS, and PDUs
- Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and abnormal operating conditions
- Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, and safety standards
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors during repairs and upgrades
- Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records
Requirements
- Technical or trade school training preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical, facilities, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and one-line drawings
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn
Technical Knowledge (Preferred)- Electrical distribution systems, generators, switchgear, UPS, and PDUs
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, and VFDs
- Familiarity with wet sprinkler and pre-action fire protection systems
