Kindergarten Teacher

Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join a high-achieving charter school committed to fostering excellence in early childhood education. In this role, you will inspire young learners, promote academic success, and encourage positive character development. The ideal candidate will create engaging lessons, collaborate with families and staff, and nurture students in their formative years. Applicants must possess a valid Florida Teacher Certification or a Statement of Eligibility to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative teaching strategies aligned with the school’s mission to foster academic and personal growth in kindergarten students.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress, providing feedback and re-teaching as needed to ensure learning objectives are met.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to support students' academic and developmental needs.
- Implement the approved education curriculum and modify plans based on individual student needs and learning styles.
- Apply positive behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful and nurturing classroom environment.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends in early childhood education and integrate them into lesson planning.
- Complete required documentation, assessments, and reports promptly and accurately.
- Model strong character and guide students in developing essential social skills and values.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Certification: Valid Florida Teacher Certification or Statement of Eligibility (required).
- Experience: Pre-service teaching experience required for certification.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, learning styles, and state/federal education regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic database management tools.
- Calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
- Experience working with diverse students in a multicultural setting.
