Job Title: Driver – 26 FT Box Truck
Location: Orlando, FL 32819
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Start times as early as 3:00 AM)
Compensation: 17-18/HR + overtime (paid at time and a half)
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced 26-foot Box Truck Driver to handle deliveries across Florida, including routes up to 4-5 hours one way to locations such as Miami and Tallahassee. This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience operating a box truck, handling multiple deliveries, and assisting with warehouse operations when routes are not assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport and deliver goods efficiently to various locations across Florida.
- Safely operate a 26-foot box truck while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Process shipment orders using a tablet-based system to confirm deliveries.
- Communicate with customers in basic English to ensure smooth deliveries and provide excellent service.
- Assist with warehouse operations on slower days or when delivery routes are unavailable.
- Maintain proper documentation, including logs and delivery receipts.
- Handle 5-10 hours of weekly overtime as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a 26-foot box truck.
- Ability to handle long-distance routes (4-5 hours one way) with multiple deliveries.
- Basic English communication skills for customer interactions.
- Basic computer skills to process shipment orders via tablet.
- Flexibility to assist in the warehouse when routes are unavailable.
- Ability to start shifts as early as 3:00 AM and work overtime as needed.
- Must pass a background check and meet driving record requirements.
