Construction Project Manager – Commercial/Retail Development

Location: Downtown Miami, FL (On-site, Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM)

Salary: Up to $150,000 per year, DOE

A leading commercial real estate and development firm is seeking an experienced construction project manager to oversee new retail and commercial development projects in Downtown Miami. This role involves managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulations. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in commercial and retail construction, strong leadership skills, and expertise in budgeting, planning, and project execution.

Responsibilities include overseeing ground-up retail and commercial construction projects from planning to completion, developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and timelines, navigating permitting processes and ensuring compliance with local regulations, collaborating with architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to align project objectives, conducting cost analysis and monitoring expenditures for budget efficiency, supervising construction teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely completion, managing procurement of materials and subcontractor agreements, identifying and resolving project risks and challenges proactively, and ensuring compliance with building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations.

Qualifications required for this role include at least five years of experience in commercial and retail construction project management, strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight for large-scale projects, experience with permits, zoning, and regulatory compliance in Miami, proven ability to lead, manage, and coordinate multiple teams and stakeholders, proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or Microsoft Project, and excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
