Construction Attorney
Location: Miami/Fort Lauderdale

Job Summary:
CAREERXCHANGE® is seeking an experienced Construction Attorney to provide legal counsel and strategic oversight for a prominent organization managing diverse real estate, infrastructure, and construction projects across Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advise executive leadership, oversee complex agreements, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in development and construction initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal guidance on contracts, permits, and development agreements.
Advise leadership on real estate projects, land use, and infrastructure development.
Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and industry regulations.
Collaborate with multiple departments, including Real Estate, Construction Management, Planning, and Public Works.
Identify legal risks, develop compliance strategies, and implement policies to improve efficiency and mitigate liability.
Oversee leasing, permitting, construction contracts, and intergovernmental agreements.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active member of the Florida Bar, eligible to practice law in the state.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in construction law, real estate development, or public infrastructure.
Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management tools.
Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings or weekends if needed.
