Job Description
About: Seeking a motivated, service-oriented Claims Representative experienced in handling medical professional liability claims for a third-party administrator located in Florida. The Claims Representative will be responsible for managing the claims process and providing excellent customer service to our clients and vendors.

Responsibilities:
- Solid working knowledge of the Healthcare insurance industry, products, policy language, coverage, and claim practices.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships, and summarize and present information to clients, claimants/counsel, and senior management as needed.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, solve moderately complex problems, and make sound business decisions.
- Demonstrated investigative experience with an analytical mindset and critical thinking skills.
- Strong work ethic, with demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment at high levels of productivity.
- Develop the ability to negotiate moderately complex settlements.
- Adaptable to a changing environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn business-related software.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree. Medical background is a plus.
- Ten years of relevant experience in claim handling.
- Must have Florida Insurance Adjuster License. Multiple state licenses are a plus.
- Professional designations are an asset but not required (e.g. CPHRM, CPCU).
