We are currently seeking a Category Manager to support our Commercial Platform AMERICAS, specializing in the Watches & Jewelry category.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Planning & Strategy
- Develop and execute commercial plans aligned with global category strategies and tailored to the needs of multiple countries within the AMERICAS region.
- Select and manage novelties from the approved global assortment; define quantity parameters and forecast demand.
- Plan and implement regional brand strategies under the guidance of the Global Brand Manager.
- Regularly review and optimize assortment planning and pricing strategies.
Sales & Performance Management
- Monitor KPIs to ensure growth in sales and margins.
- Approve Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans and manage markdown strategies.
- Lead the monthly OTB review process in collaboration with Inventory and Operations Support (IOS).
Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor regional offices; organize periodic business reviews and updates.
- Identify new brand opportunities and foster innovation within the product category.
- Represent the category at buying sessions and central tender processes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage, develop, and inspire a team of Brand Planners.
- Promote strong communication and collaboration between category management, store operations, and central brand teams.
Reporting & Analysis
- Provide consistent and accurate reporting on sales, margins, pricing deviations, promotions, and assortment KPIs.
- Liaise with central brand managers and vendors to communicate progress and insights.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in category management, preferably in the watches, jewelry, or broader consumer goods sectors.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Process-driven, hands-on mindset with the ability to manage complexity and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Effective communicator with excellent English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
- Proven leadership and project management capabilities.
