Position: Batch Maker / Cleaner
The Batch Maker / Cleaner plays an essential role in both the production and sanitation processes. You’ll be mixing product batches, following detailed formulas, and ensuring all equipment and work areas remain clean, safe, and compliant with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Batch Making & Production
● Weigh, measure, and mix raw materials according to established formulas
● Operate mixers, tanks, blenders, and related equipment safely and efficiently
● Monitor temperatures, blend times, and ingredient additions for consistent results
● Record production data, batch details, and ingredient lot numbers accurately
● Perform in-process quality checks (pH, viscosity, appearance, etc.)
● Transfer completed batches to designated containers or filling stations
● Report equipment issues, deviations, or material shortages promptly
Cleaning & Sanitation
● Clean and sanitize tanks, tools, and production equipment following GMP standards
● Use approved cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
● Prevent cross-contamination between formulas and ingredients
● Maintain floors, walls, and general cleanliness of production areas
Safety & Compliance
● Follow GMP, SOPs, company safety policies, and OSHA regulations
● Wear required PPE at all times
● Participate in ongoing safety and sanitation training
Other Duties
● Assist with inventory tracking by reporting material usage
● Help with basic preventive maintenance tasks
● Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals
Skills & Qualifications
● Experience in batch making, blending, or mixing preferred (cosmetics, food, or chemical manufacturing a plus)
● Ability to read and follow batch sheets and instructions
● Basic math and measurement skills
● Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
● Ability to lift materials, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks
