What You’ll Do:
As a key member of our litigation team, you'll:
- Manage complex medical malpractice and nursing home negligence cases from intake through trial and appeal.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys, medical experts, investigators, and clients to build strong case strategies.
- Conduct in-depth legal and medical record research.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement documentation.
- Take and defend fact and expert depositions.
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Offer clear, compassionate communication with clients and healthcare professionals throughout the litigation process.
What We’re Looking For:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida Bar.
- 2–5 years of medical malpractice experience (plaintiff or defense). Plaintiff-side experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of Florida medical malpractice law, medical terminology, and healthcare procedures.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent writing, research, and courtroom skills.
Bonus Points For:
- Judicial clerkship or first-chair trial experience.
- Experience with expert witness collaboration and trial prep.
- Comfort with legal software (e.g., FileVine) – not required, but a plus.
