Associate Attorney - Global Transportation Finance
Location: Miami, FL
Full-Time | Hybrid Schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
The Opportunity:
A top-tier legal team is seeking a Finance Associate to join their Global Transportation Finance practice in Miami. This opportunity offers hands-on experience with sophisticated, cross-border transactions in aviation, maritime, rail, and other transportation asset classes. The position provides a collaborative and fast-paced environment that values mentorship, career development, and client engagement.
You’ll work closely with seasoned attorneys on complex financial matters involving leasing, acquisition, structured finance, and enforcement related to transportation assets. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to advance in a globally respected practice area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and manage complex transactional documents
- Handle asset-based financing, leasing, and restructuring matters
- Support cross-border deals involving aviation, maritime, rail, and equipment finance
- Interact directly with clients and participate in strategic business development
- Coordinate deal execution across multiple jurisdictions and teams
Main Requirements:
- 2–7 years of transactional experience at a law firm
- Experience in one or more of the following: aviation, secured lending, structured finance, real estate finance, leveraged finance, capital markets, project finance, private equity, maritime, or securitization
- Strong drafting, negotiating, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
- J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Admitted to the Florida Bar (or in the process of obtaining admission)

Compensation:
$235,000 – $330,000 annual base salary, depending on experience and class year
