Job Overview:
A well-established distribution company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team at our Medley location. Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: Starting at $24.00/hour, up to $55,000/year based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner
Communicate with vendors to clarify invoicing issues and secure early payment discounts
Generate and distribute regular reports (e.g., RNI, Aging, Outstanding Checks) using ERP systems
Manage 1099 filings and maintain compliance with reporting standards
Support month-end close by preparing and posting journal entries
Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation and verifying reconciliations
Analyze accounts and generate monthly reports with backup documentation
Maintain accurate vendor files and document storage systems
Review and process check requests, vendor invoices, and petty cash reimbursements
Enter payables into ERP, generate vendor payments, and manage check signatures
Assist with account reconciliation and credit card audits
Reconcile A/P subledger to general ledger and resolve any discrepancies
Manage wire transfers and ACH payment processing, support weekly check runs
Ensure all internal policy documentation is current and adhered to
Contribute to process improvements and new workflow implementation within A/P
Preferred Qualifications:
3–5 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
Prior work experience in distribution companies is highly preferred
Proficiency in ERP systems, especially Sage 300, Macola, or similar
Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Work Environment:
Onsite role at the Medley, FL location
