What You’ll Do
Perform government and department budget analysis, reviewing and monitoring allocations and expenditures.
Implement and track department budgets to ensure compliance and effective use of resources.
Conduct financial analysis, policy review, and budget reporting for senior leadership.
Provide support to department staff on budget systems, financial reporting, and automated tools.
Assist in forecasting, trend analysis, and expenditure controls.
Prepare reports and presentations that inform decision-making.
Apply your expertise in finance, accounting, and government budgeting to improve operational efficiency.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
4+ years of experience implementing and monitoring department budgets, preferably in local government, public sector, or related finance roles.
Strong understanding of budgeting, accounting, and financial practices, with prior exposure to government finance policies.
Experience with ERP or financial software (Lawson/Infor, Hyperion, or similar preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Valid Florida Driver’s License.
