Tax Accountant
Location: Iselin, NJ or New York City, NY
 Job Type: Full-Time – Hybrid
 Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 (base) plus 5% discretionary bonus

 
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to support corporate and partnership tax compliance, reporting, and related tax matters. This role partners closely with the Tax Manager and external advisors in a fast-paced environment.

Responsiblities:

  • Prepare and support federal and state corporate and partnership tax returns
  • Assist with annual K-1 reporting for a large multi-member partnership
  • Support income tax provisions, workpapers, and financial statement disclosures (ASC 740)
  • Manage tax calendars and ensure filing deadlines are met
  • Conduct tax research and support audits and tax notices
  • Prepare non-income-based tax filings (gross receipts, property tax)
  • Reconcile tax accounts and prepare journal entries

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of tax experience (public accounting and/or industry)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or actively pursuing preferred
  • Experience with multi-member LLCs and tax provisions
  • Strong Excel skills (SUMIF, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH)
  • Experience with NetSuite, Workday, and Adobe Pro a plus
