About the Client: 

Our client is a personal injury law firm in the Miami, FL area. 

 

About the Role: 

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations by handling all aspects of accounts payable. Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, reconciling statements, and collaborating with vendors to maintain smooth payment processes.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Review and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts, verifying pricing, quantities, and terms.
  • Prepare and perform check runs and electronic payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment-related inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
