Paralegal – Alcohol & Beverage Licensing

Key Responsibilities:
- Guide clients through every stage of the license and permit application process, ensuring smooth and timely submissions.
- Gather necessary information, identify issues, and provide strategic recommendations to address licensing challenges.
- Communicate license or permit requirements effectively, advising clients on compliance matters to meet Federal, State, and Local laws.
- Analyze clients’ needs, review application materials, and provide insightful guidance based on supporting documentation.
- Evaluate current licensing procedures and contribute to the development of improved operational frameworks.
- Maintain comprehensive records of licenses and permits, ensuring information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Review and verify application documents, including financial records, to ensure adherence to regulatory standards; manage cases and organize files for presentation to the ABC Board.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, coupled with strong analytical and organizational abilities, to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Track billable and non-billable work hours with precision and accuracy.
- Deliver high-quality client service consistently, maintaining the firm’s reputation for excellence.
- Fulfill additional duties as needed to support the legal team’s success.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of law firm experience, preferably in a Paralegal role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of alcohol and beverage licensing regulations and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to perform tasks such as typing, using a keyboard, and writing by hand.
- Regularly required to communicate verbally and possess the ability to see both close and distant objects, including color vision and adjusting focus.
- Regular in-office attendance is required to facilitate collaboration and efficiency.
