Our client located in Miami, FL (Blue Lagoon), is a premier provider of supply chain management services tailored for the restaurant industry. With a commitment to excellence, they specialize in procurement, logistics, and distribution solutions, ensuring seamless operations for its clients. The company's expertise spans various aspects of supply chain management, including inventory control, vendor management, and cost optimization, all aimed at enhancing the efficiency and profitability of the restaurants it serves. They pride themselves on their innovative approach, industry knowledge, and dedication to customer satisfaction.
They are currently looking for a new Director, Global Premiums Purchasing who will have a broad scope of responsibility touching upon multiple departments within the company, its vendors, their main franchise client, Marketing, Legal, and Quality Assurance. The Director, Global Premiums Purchasing is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of assigned products at the best cost to the franchise restaurant system and its international markets. Principal accountabilities include supervising, training, and developing the skills of the Global Premiums Business Team, assisting in the establishment of business priorities, consulting with their main client on ongoing long- and short-term calendar planning and pricing, negotiating with suppliers for each product manufactured, and the development of the best overall supply matrix that provides the best product cost at each assigned distribution center. In addition, review periodic filler recommendations and all program order recommendations proposed by Promotions Planning and Inventory Management ensuring alignment with program and target filler inventory strategies, develop and manage Premiums revenue strategy, and propose and implement short- and long-term strategies to ensure the continued success and growth of the company and its commitment to be “The best Purchasing entity in the industry”.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
▪ A four–year degree is required (Master's Degree is a plus).
▪ Must have at least four to six years of relevant work experience.
▪ Must have strong leadership skills, financial skills/analysis, and negotiation/communication skills.
▪ Must have significant technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
▪ Strong project management skills and ability to work independently, and as a member of a team.
▪ Ability to act independently with demonstrated sound judgment, prioritize, and process multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
▪ Ability to work well with all levels of the organization, ability to identify problems, and develop solutions.
▪ Detail oriented and well organized and proficient in the MS Office environment (Excel, Word, Power Point).
