Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to manage and optimize our accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process payments, including electronic transfers and checks.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to address and resolve billing issues.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Generate and review reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
