Our client is a dynamic and global software company dedicated to serving life sciences companies in the management of their clinical trials, drug safety and regulatory information. 


About the Role: 

The Product Marketing Manager is someone with experience taking a technology-based product (software, technology) and packaging it for B2B audiences (or B2G). They will understand the challenges in taking a complex product and simplifying the message for a business user to both understand and find appealing. 

Additionally, the PMM will preferably have experience in highly regulated industries (life sciences, aerospace, etc), working on products that drive compliance and understanding how to carry out the full life cycle of the marketing experience in their toolkit; not only writing collateral, white papers, etc; but rather following the full path of GTM to ensure in-market success. 


Some responsibilities include: 

  • Define the GTM (go-to-market) plans to ensure execution, and execute on the GTM plans. Complex project management required
  • Work with BU, SME, PM, industry experts to ensure that they provide input according to the GTM plans
  • Define the Battle cards, play to win strategies for the domain and applications
  • Work with BU, SME, PM to ensure availability and completeness of sales and marketing materials
  • Conduct internal training sessions for sales, marketing on the positioning of the applications
  • Work with customers to understand their product use cases and define possible new opportunities for the product
  • Create and approve product marketing collateral and product sales tools, such as product positioning, business value proposition, sales handbooks, product presentations, sales proposal templates, competitive sales tools and white papers, ROI models, Battle cards
  • Monitor competitors and market trends
  • Collect information on sales opportunities, win/loss analysis and distribute information to team
  • Work with customers on success stories, white papers, common speaking engagements
  • Manage the Domain-related Advisory Boards
  • Conduct a market assessment of new product opportunities
  • Feedback market input into the road map working with the PM
  • Provide product/domain thought leadership
  • Present at user conferences, trade shows, and web-casts as appropriate
  • Create technical datasheets, white-papers and product handbooks
  • Provide close collaboration with PM to support product objectives
  • Create website blogs
  • BA or BS in Business Management, Marketing or related field preferred
  • 5-7 years in product marketing, product management, campaigns, event management and communications subject matter expertise in a technology field
  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals or health care a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, and strong ability to perform technical and business-level writing
  • Understanding of how to create outcome-based programs
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate manage and ensure the success of programs
  • Ability to produce meaningful analytics
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, and collaboration tools
  • Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously
